We had our first UKC show weekend of the year, bringing out Marvel and Saffron, and enjoying the weekend with other APAW teams of Quill, Burban, Velour, and retired Mama Galaxy! My daughters Chloe and Aria came along, with 6 y/o Chloe doing most of Marvel’s handling on Sunday.
Saffron earned:
- 3 competition wins and 55 points towards her UKC Championship
Marvel earned:
- 1 competition win and 35 points towards her U-CH
- 4 Q’s in Rally Obedience, scoring 94,96, 96 and 100
- 2nd place in Rally
- URO1 title
- Junior showmanship with Chloe
- Total Dog award
Quill earned:
- 1 leg towards his RUSH title
Galaxy participated:
- Junior showmanship
Burban earned:
- 1 competition win and 40 points towards his U-CH title
- 2 Q’s in a coursing event
- 4 Q’s in Rally Obedience
- URO1 title
- 8 ring times in Juniors, at least once with each of his 5 kids!
- helped 2 of his kids earn Total Junior awards
- Total Dog award
- High In Trial for Rally with a perfect score of 100!
Velour earned:
- 3 Q’s in a coursing event
- DASH title
- 4 Q’s in rally obedience
- URO1 title
- 2nd place in Rally
- Junior showmanship with 2 of his kids

Our area has most of our shows scheduled in April-June and August-September; the Spring shows were too busy/risky for us to attend because we had the baby puppies (W litter, Marshall x Lyric). I am hoping to get to at least a couple more shows this Fall before the year wraps up… It’s hard to catch-up on earning all the titles for which the various dogs are ready!
