APAW – Poodle Pups for Working Roles

We have a new baby! Aria Rose was born on May 16th, 2024 and she is the sweetest little girl. Big siblings Chloe and Matthias are thrilled!

Pregnancy and maternity leave have meant taking a step back from training/competing/breeding this past year, but I’m gradually getting back to it. I have a few litters planned for next year and a bunch of shows I’m aiming to enter with various Poodles. I’m also planning to get back into writing informational blog posts, which I know many enjoy.

Here are a few other updates since the majority of my prior posts:

• Dam Galaxy has retired after her single litter (the V’s) and is now a much-loved companion to a family with two other APAW dogs, Burban (R litter) and Galaxy’s own son Velour.
• Dam Haven has retired from breeding after her R and U litters. She will stay here forever and we are continuing to pursue performance titles as opportunity allows.
• Dam Ideal had her two litters here (Q and T litters) and is now raising her final litter on lease to DoeValley Poodles. She will soon be moving to her forever home and will pursue performance sports and therapy work.
• Stud Dyno has found a local guardian home and will continue to be available for occasional litters for APAW and other breeders seeking to increase genetic diversity and produce smaller inter-variety performance prospects.
• The following “Hopefuls” have passed their health testing and are now officially in our breeding program, though they will mostly still wait another 1-3 years before being bred: Lyric, Orchid, Jude, Harry (co-owned, living with us) and Euphoria (co-owned, living with her partner)
• Planned W litter – Marvel should come into heat around December/January and will be bred to Dyno for a litter of small silvers with performance, service and therapy prospects. Pups ready for homes late Spring.
• Planned X litter – Lyric should come into heat around February/March and will be bred to a full Standard, to be announced. The litter will produce performance, service, therapy and show prospects. Pups ready for homes around mid-late Summer.
• Planned Y litter – likely to happen late 2025, either Rudy x Marvel or Karma or Orchid to a stud to be announced.
