APAW – Poodle Pups for Working Roles

Ideal’s name truly fits her perfectly. She is an amazing combination of sweet, gentle, easy and sensitive while also being super athletic and biddable. She’s always been a perfect “go anywhere” dog, always keeps a loose leash and great attention on her person, ignores other dogs and animals, loves all social interactions, confidently and happily goes with the flow in every situation. Her only “bad habit” is assuming that anyone who interacts with her while sitting is expressing a direct invitation for her to gently climb in their lap for a better snuggle. Ideal missed out on show opportunities due to human babies and the pandemic, but has done great at the few events she’s gotten to enter; she has 2 legs towards her first rally title as well as a bunch of temperament and trick titles. She recently was awarded her Trick Dog Register Of Merit, recognizing that between Ideal, her offspring and her littermates at least 10 trick titles have been earned through Do More With Your Dog.

Ideal has “retired” to her forever home where she and her partner have stayed busy training, adding more titles and doing frequent therapy work through a library reading program and nursing home visits.
