APAW – Poodle Pups for Working Roles

Hope has a perfect temperament. She is super sweet, biddable, social, curious, confident and is easily motivated by anything – praise, petting, play, food, retrieve, tugging, etc. She has mid drive that can be built or turned off, and mid energy that she will happily go-go-go all day or just as happily snuggle on the couch. She’s very undemanding, just a peaceful presence with a tail wag or kiss always ready for anyone and any plan.

She was being trained for service but had an oops litter while in advanced training. The puppies were temperamentally amazing and physically robust, and we later decided she should be intentionally bred to a stud who better balanced out her structural faults. She was leased to Sarsel Poodles for their foundation litter and bred to our stud Genesis, and from that litter we have Harry on co-ownership. Later we bred her once intentionally to get a female keeper, and to keep her apricot genes for the next generation.

Hope is slightly more diverse than breed average, and her 1st and 3rd litters were with studs significantly more diverse than her for us to continue to raise those numbers in the next generation.

Hope is now retired and has a social life-style filled with the adventures she loves, including work as a therapy dog.
