“Gallifrey”

Crabapple’s Out Of The Shadow For APAW

Therapy Dog, Demo Service Dog

Gallifrey is one of the most confident, bomb-proof, sturdy dogs we’ve come across, and he is wonderfully social and overall on the calm side – nearly a perfect service dog candidate. He came to us at 6 months old as a breeding hopeful to incorporate specific traits found particularly from his sire, Neiger Downunder Joey, who was a solid dog who lived a long and healthy life, was extremely confident and biddable with a strong desire to retrieve.

Gallifrey has been with his guardian family since he was an adolescent, where he has routinely represented APAW and CDK (Canines for Disabled Kids) as a demo service dog giving presentations and attending events all around Massachusetts. He has also provided many years of therapy visits in a variety of settings.

Gallifrey sired a litter for another breeder and one of the pups had complications which indicated a hereditary condition, so Gallifrey was neutered without being bred again. Gallifrey is slowing down a bit in his senior years as well as developing a bit of a sensitive gut, but is still overall a healthy dog.
