“Clue”

Karbits Clue Chaser

Clue is a sweet and sensitive boy, nervous of strangers but very social and playful with his person (Jillian). He came to us as a young adult having missed a lot of socialization opportunities during the pandemic, and he has slowly but surely been coming out of his shell and building confidence. He has sired one litter and the pups are generally out-going and confident, so we don’t believe Clue’s sensitivity is particularly genetic. His tail is nearly always up and wagging and he gives lots of kisses and loves to run and play with other dogs or his person. He is keenly aware of bunnies and has a strong interest in chasing them, but will readily ignore them with a simple “leave it” cue. He has not had any particular training but is a very easy keeper, calm and quiet in the house, loves his crate, great appetite, gets along with all other dogs.

Clue is available at stud to approved females. Live cover in central Massachusetts, or shipped chilled. He is extremely genetically diverse with an OI of .89.

Clue is seeking just the right guardian home within an hour or so of central Massachusetts. His ideal home will be a quiet home with a female as his person, who understands how to help him build his confidence. He would probably love dog sports including rally, freestyle, tricks, parkour, coursing and barn hunt, etc. A guardian placement from APAW means that the dog remains intact and legally owned by us, but they are placed for free in the home they will live in forever; they need to remain available for our breeding program and potentially limited stud service to other APAW-approved breeders. Ownership will be signed-over to the guardian at no cost once the dog is retired from breeding.
