2023 in Review!

Wow, what a year!

So much has happened within the APAW family since last Winter – here is a recap.

5 NEW DOGS joined our breeding program (and/or upcoming hopefuls)

  • Clue – a gentle apricot 19″ inter-variety boy from Karbit Poodles. Clue is seeking a local guardian home to remain in our breeding program.
  • Dyno (previously Fang) – an enthusiastic silver 17″ Mini boy from Karbit Poodles. Dyno will eventually be seeking a local guardian home who will pursue all sorts of sports with him.
  • Zorro – a sweet black/apricot phantom 15″ Mini boy from Karbit Poodles. Zorro has become my daughter Chloe’s Juniors dog.
  • Saffron – our spicy apricot keeper girl from our S litter (Clue x Hope).
  • Tulip – our adorable dark cream keeper girl from our T litter (Zorro x Ideal).

4 LITTERS were born

  • S Litter in March (Clue x Hope) – 5 cream and apricot pups
  • T Litter in July (Zorro x Ideal) – 9 pups in black/blue, cream/apricot and a phantom
  • U Litter in November (Dyno x Haven) – 7 pups in blue
  • V Litter in December (Kindle x Galaxy) – 8 pups in blue/silver, cream and silver beige

S Litter

1 RETIRED breeding dog

  • Hope (APAW’s Don’t Stop Believin’ ATD), our super sweet and social faded apricot girl from the H litter. Hope is dam of our J’s and S’s, and had the Broadway litter for Sarsel Poodles (from which our co-owned boy Harry was born). Hope now is a doted-on companion for a long-time APAW friend and supporter.

  • Bastille – a small Standard from our Q litter
  • Ivy – a Standard from our R litter
  • Diamond – a Standard from our R litter
  • Tongo – an inter-variety Poodle from our T litter
  • Pumpkin – an inter-variety Poodle from our T litter
  • Gabriel – an inter-variety Poodle from our T litter

22 NEW TITLES earned by Jillian with our breeding/hopeful dogs and one companion trained prior to placement (listed by litter order/age). These titles are in the categories of conformation, rally, coursing, musical freestyle, tricks and temperament.

41 NEW TITLES/HONORIFICS earned by our wonderful homes with APAW Poodles (listed by litter order, dogs are from the litter their name begins with unless otherwise specified). These titles are in the categories of rally, agility, disc, scent, tricks, parkour, herding, temperament and fitness. In addition, one dog has become certified in Search & Rescue capacities and another has completed the requirements to be recognized as a Service Dog.

In Memoriam
This past year we also mourned the passing of 3 wonderful dogs among our APAW family.
